Digital Printing

Q: What is Digital printing?
A: Digital Printing is the best way to apply a multi color print on to a white or light garment as the number of colors does not affect the price. The Digital printer applies ink directly to the garment similar to a bubble jet printer. The process is then completed by curing the print at 340 degrees.

Q: Does Digital Printing last?
A: Yes, Digital printing uses specially formulated inks similar to screen printing inks that are cured at 340 degrees. To prolong the life of any garment you own, avoid putting it in the dryer.

Q: Is digital printing similar to transfers?
A: No, digital printing is applied directly to the garment on a large machine similar to a large bubble jet printer. Transfers are heat pressed on top of the garment and do not have the same quality or life span.

Q: Can I Digital Print on dark garments?
A: Yes, but we prefer screen printing when possible. The process of digital printing on dark shirts, will first lay down a layer of white ink, this is then dried and other colours added on top. This process can leave the image looking washed out and to low of quality for some customers. For best results digital printing should be used on white garments only.
